SPICED PEAR FIZZ

This wintery specialty is bound to impress and amaze your guests, the perfect show stopper cocktail to help start any social gathering.

INGREDIENTS

50ml Jake’s Gin

15ml Lemon Juice

25ml Pear Syrup

1 Egg White

Spiced Pear Syrup Ingredients:

4 Pears (cubed and cored)

1 Star Anise

1 Cinnamon stick

250g Caster Sugar

INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1

To make the spiced pear syrup, put the ingredients in a pan with 250ml water and simmer for 20-30 minutes until the flavours have infused. Leave to cool.

STEP 2

To mix the cocktail, put all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker without ice, allow them 10 seconds to rest (in order to maximise foam) and then shake vigorously.

Open the shaker, fill with ice and shake again, then strain into a chilled coupe. Place a star anise on the foam to serve.

Jake’s top tip: Follow the steps and shake really hard to bring out as much foam as possible, this not only tastes good but also makes a visually stunning cocktail.
